The author has had two career lives, almost two identities. I graduated from Stanford Medical School in 1957 and practiced medicine and psychiatry full-time for forty years. I held medical licenses in California, Hawaii, New Mexico, Nevada, and Missouri. I was director of several hospitals and volunteered as an Associate Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the University of California, San Francisco.
For the past fourteen years, in close association with my wife Beverly, I have focussed on military justice and human interest stories during the Civil War. Our dozen books are on Amazon.com. We have provided research services to literally hundreds of other authors.
